BLOIS 1997 - Motorchutes

Motorchutes are getting comfortable, hence attracting new customers.

Buckeye

Already known worldwide, Buckeye is coming to Europe, and offers various single seat and dual seats models.
Buckeye - that's the name of a US butterfly - offers a high quality product, targeted to people that do not wish, or cannot fly the other ultralights categories, and wish to fly with an excellent visibility and security.

A typical motorchute of this manufacturer flies at 40 - 50 km/h at a maximal altitude of 3'000 m, and is simply flown with feet-pedals for the direction, and a stick for the motor power to climb or go down.

As an introductory offer, the company did not hesitate to offer a gratis training... in Canada, including flight, room and a car during one week to anyone buying a two-seats model. An original idea that we would welcome from other suppliers.
That kind of ultralight has the advantage to require only a short training, about one week-end for the flying part. The simplicity of these crafts allow older people to fly.

The Dream Machine model, two-seater with a Rotax 582, complete with electric starter, is sold around FRF 60'000 VAT included.

Manutara

Manutara is the european importer of the very nice Skytrike.
This very bio-design single seat cart, from Japanese design, is powered by a 198 cc 2 strokes monocylinder Toatshu motor, air cooled, with both electric and manual starters that offers a 20 CV power.

The 5,5 l tank gives 1 1/2 to 2 hours of flight. Enpty weight 45 kg. Flying speed from 23 to 50 km/h, and a dual-seats version should be available shortly.

One of the advantages of this motorchute is that it can be dismantled to fit the luggage area of a car.
