BASSANO 98
Each year, the ultralight salons
season strats at Easter with the oe of Bassano del Grapa (Italy). This year, the city of
Bassano feasts its millenium, and this show is at the same time that the local delicious
asparagus production.
On the contrary to last year (see: Bassano 97), the organizer made real improvements, be it for the
welcoming of visitors, the organisation of the various services, the quality of food
offered in the show, and the help brought to car owners stuck in the mud. A warm thanks to
the organization for these true improvements.
For you, we had a closer look at the few
novelties:
TRIKES:
Air Création presented its new Clipper
with a 912 Rotax motor and a specific XP 17 wing.
In this version, the Clipper becomes a long range traveller.
Special care has been taken to keep the good landing caracteristics without motor, as well
as in keeping the fuel capacity (60 liters). The new XP 17 wing hence allows to retain
excellent security. The 912 allows to fly longer and offers all the advantages of 4-stroke
engines, bringing a few additional HPs.
Price: from around FRF 190'000 to 210'000 VAT included depending on
equipment.

Seen last year as a prototype, the Trimar Air was
seen here with its production hull, including a raisable three wheels landing gear.
Remember that this hull should provide excellent water performances, and directly
