Aero 97, Friedrichshafen, on Konstanz's lake, is an historical place: on July 2, 1900, the first trial flights of the very first Zeppelin started. This new airship opened a whole new era for worldwide travels. The very first flight around the world - Lakehurst, Friedrichshafen, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Lakehurst - was in 1929. As from 1997, the legend is born again with an airship built with the latest high-tech materials. It should mainly be used for touristic flights, and might provide excellent means for measuring and control works, as well as advertising.
During our stay, we did appreciate that even the busses commuting between the fair and the airport had a very neat ID, hence completing the perfect organization of this fair.
