Dyn Aéro presented its UL/FAI version of the MCR 01, a fast and nice looking ultralight. MCR 01 UL: The designer of the legendary CriCri, Michel Colomban, and Christophe Robin joined to create a carbon-composite aerodynamical ultralight - as well as a VLA version -, available as ready to fly or kit. A special attention has been brought to future users: in addition to a wide canopy, seats and rudder pedals are adjustable in flight, and are designed to accomodate from 1.45 m to 1.95 m tall passengers.

This very nice design ensures impressive performances: 300 km/h top speed (Vne 340 km/h, minimal speed 63 km/h) with a 912 UL Rotax, making a travel of 1'500 km at 290 km/h (FL 80) possible. The carbon-composite building offers as well 5 minutes' wings dismounting, by one single person: a half wing only weights 15 kg. As an option, a closed trailer can be ordered at Dyn Aéro. The carbon-composite brings the empty weight to 220 kg. Wingspan is 7.9 m, length 5.48 m. The cockpit is 1.10 m wide, a good width for that kind of plane. One of Dyn Aéro's advantages is that the first-time builder, for the kit version, may get the technical help, the required equipment, and the space required to build his kit as a 3-weeks training course, included in price: 1st week: wings and fixed surfaces. 2nd week: body. 3rd week: equipment. This training, bringing a systematical help to the owner is more than interesting, not only for the price/quality ratio, but as well for the security factor. Total building time for a first-builder is advertised between 500 and 1'000 hours. During the training week, making the wings will require 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 days.
