Remos Aircraft GmbH is one of Lorenz Kreitmayr's companies. During the past decade, Lorenz with some sixty collaborators built a small conglomerate active in electronics, CNC software and engineering, metallic parts, advising companies such as MBB, BMW, VW, Daimler-Benz, etc. Some 40 people are involved in the ultralight activities. G-3 MIRAGE: The G-3 Mirage is a further development of the well known Gemini Ultra, of which 40 were sold, and represents a complete redesign to bring a good travel ultralight on the market. The Mirage is now fully producted by Lorenz's companies, who hence fully controls the whole production, and the quality of the finished product. While the composite parts are made in Poland (a 100% owned company), metal parts are German made, allowing to get a quality ultralight at an affordable price.

In comparision to the Gemini Ultra, these pictures show a definite improving on the aerodynamic flows, the Mirage taking a car look and looking rounder. What the eye sees is found in the performances, with a Vne of 220 km/h, a cruise speed of 195 km/h, and a minimal speed of 63 km/h. With a 912 UL Rotax and 2 passengers, the climb rate is 5 m/s for an empty weight of 278 kg. Standard are electric flaps and trim, as well as a BRS chute.

Compared to some other ultralights, access on board is rather easy. Seats can be adjusted on the ground in length, height, and tilt, allowing each passenger to find a confortable position. The overall finish is excellent, and visibility is good on the ground. An additional bonus is that tinted windshield and windows are standard - and made by the producer of army's helicopters bulkheads. Easy and efficient The folding mechanism for the wings is simple and efficient, allowing a single person to fold the plane in 10 minutes. The Mirage is delivered with a 60 l tank. Price in Germany is DEM 86'500 VAT excluded (for comparision, the Gemini Ultra costs DEM 69'500). Lorenz indicated that yearly production is foreseen at 30 planes, Gemini Ultra and G-3 Mirage combined.
